Behind the mirage of "political mayhem" is an emerging new Somalia

Postby Talo alle udaa » Wed Apr 04, 2018 9:04 pm

We humans are often short sighted and are quick to forget the past, impacting our ability to take new developments into perspective. It was not long ago major tribal warfare was taking place in many parts of Somalia, particularly the south. Ironically the last major tribal war in which tens of people were killed happened in Somaliland.

Today in Mogadishu, power is consolidated in the hands of the government. The idea that a political tussle between the speaker of Parliament and the President & Co will lead to an armed conflict is ludicrous. For the first time, the Somalis at large have made it abundantly clear; They have neither the taste nor will tolerate regression back into statelessness and anarchy.

Laws and regulations in countries are often passed after political crisis and dilemma arise. It's in this learning exercise the countries political institutions will come out stronger.

Cagdheer boy desperately trying to paint us a different picture.

AMISOM stood above Jawari, reduced deputy speaker to mere interpreter, kept Farmajo and Jawari apart, Jawari and Kheyre.

It can’t get lower than that and the chaos is not over.

In the end one of them will go only for the other two fo dollow. Damage is done.

You can’t compare that to the two small sub-sub-sub-sub clans feuding over pasture, water and some “captured” towns in Sanaag.

That has no relations to politics nor does it threaten SL’s stability or image.

This is equivalent to two gangs feuding over some turff in Aouth Central LA.

If Wanlawein isn’t at war why is Farmajo hiding inside Ugandan armoured vehicle?

:damn: :lupe:

Try again homeless Cagdheer.

Awrastaale, I have to give you credit. You are passionate about Somaliland ictiraaf, using your talent of making maps. I wish you all the best

But we have to examine the facts. The truth is, this political dispute will not cause any armed conflict. Somalia is effectively a federal government and political disputes in Mogadishu will not impact the police officer in Beledweyne or Baidoa.

Ictiraaf will not be achieved wishing misfortune on others.

I must commend the arm forces for not engaging the militia that were assembled and for showing great restrain in the face of uncertainty. Can u imagine if they duked it out resulting in casualties. As much as I wouldn’t mind seeing few of those incompetent members of the parliament catching bullets, I am glad no there was no blood shed.

i swear those people are the most stupid people in the world.

doing the same thing over and over and expect different results.

close to 60 years the whole somali ethnicity is held ransom by the shortcomings of the governorn of mogdisho.

look at them acting like animals, seeking protection from another impoverished african troops who give them orders how to behave and directing their executive and legislative branch on their borders and responsibilities.

its time for the international community to put italian somalia under trusteeship and make an example of them to all failed states.

Sxb I’m the least Idoor to believe in ictiraaf.

I recommend you follow my Twitter.

I believe in economic recognition and engagement thus for me it’s better to fight for the $1b UAE investment than some useless paper.

I rather give away 19% to Addis and eat good than control 100% with some paper in my cabinet.
