I never understood the animosity Somalia had toward the Israeli state. The American Jewish Committee were supportive of the Somali struggle against Italian colonization. We had Jewish communities in Somalia for hundreds of years but no visible issues with them. We just knew them as Yemenis or Persian.

Now with the improved ties between the Arab Gulf states and the Jewish state, why be left from the party?

If we can have people referring to our arch-nemesis for over a millennia the Orthodox Christian Ethiopia as our brothers and friends, what beef do we have with the Jewish State with whom we have had no conflict with?
