Genocidal rightwing dictators? I am disappointed in you.
I thought you of all would be aware of the blatant and downright childish disinformation and propaganda campaign of mainstream western media.
Lol. I am the last person to believe MSM propaganda. But saying Erdogan and Assad are brutal autocrats isn't controversial.
Assad is a garden variety dictator no different than the regimes in the Gulf. Disappearances and torture are routine in the UAE and other Gulf states with Saudia and Bahrain the worst in human rights abuses.
I understand that Assad is better than the Saudi/Khaliji demons, but Pablo Escobar was more humane than the Gulf savages, so that's not saying much.
Real news and facts will take time to filter through but I suggest you look into what happened in Mosul.
MSM would have you believe that Assad carpet bombed cities deliberately targeting civilians and killing tens of thousands. The US caused as much devastation and death in Mosul in 2 months what Assad took 2 years to do. Did you hear anything more than a peep about this?
I'm aware that MSM manipulate facts to exaggerate the crimes of Assad and sometimes fabricate things completely. But Assad is still a terrible man who is an autocrat. USSR was a champion of socialism across the world, and they were more of a force for good than the Imperialist west, but that doesn't excuse Stalin.
Now turkey in my opinion is more democratic than many western countries because the will of the people is represented. The majority of the people support ak party and will continue to vote .
It seems that according to the west nationalism is a crime , if you cater to the interests of your people your constituents and oppose the policy the west crafted for you. You will be branded populist, authoritarian and even dictator.
If you are genuinely a dictator but follow western policy obediently you are called " reformer" lol.
If your nationalism and democracy results in the massacre, oppression and uprooting of ethnic minorities, that isn't a good thing. I'm not excusing the West, we can criticise both Turkey and the West. Erdogan isn't the only problem in turkey, it has institutional problems. It operates like a rich South American country where the army is too powerful and right-wing.
I sympathize with the revolutionaries in Rojave and I am happy that they survive by playing both sides but the survival of the Syrian Arab Republic is one of the most important victories for the freedom of the world.
Rojava isn't perfect, but it's the closest we got to a true Libertarian Socialist state. It will be wiped out now by the Turks with the blessing of NATO.
What's heading our way scares the shit out of me , it makes George Orwells 1984 look like high school detention.
I'm still sensing undue hostility towards Assad, when he is no better than anyone on the world stage.
The same with Erdogan , I never cared much for him in the past even when he was the darling of the Arab world after his spat with Israel over Gaza. I always knew he was subservient it was all a show. I grew to respect him recently when he grew a spine and started charting his own course. Of course this is when western media started harping about all this authoritarian stuff..
It's hilarious really , Erdogan won free and fair elections and with a good margin and he is considered non democratic, while Macron in France won 24% of the vote in 2017 and got 53% of the seats , Le pen won 21% of the vote and got 1.3% ??? .
Does that sound right to you? .
What about the US they don't bother to do fancy cheating they just have a one party state like China but divided into two parties with cosmetic differences.
It's a successful model adopted in authoritarian anti democratic states like Singapore and its pap party .
It's genius really create and control your own opposition and make sure genuine opposition is small and non threatening.
The west is anti democratic they are against giving people a voice. They promote "democracy" so they can infiltrate and control your policy.
As I said before the correct term is democratic republic anism and I support that. Anarchist syndicalism would me my Choice of implementing a democratic republic.
But I would definitely choose dictatorship over colonial comparador class in service to the west.
Even if they have elections and parties in a democratic facade. Hell I would be loyal to and serve a f-king king ruling by decree if he works for the well being of the nation and independence.
It doesn't matter what system of rule as long as you work for the people and not colonised
