Ahmed Shide is the chairman of the somali regional party. The president of the region is still Ogaden.

Regardless, let's hope for smarter leaders who will develop the region. If there are elections in 2020 (which I doubt) both Ogaden and Dir should field their candidate and may the best man win. Let's not adopt the disastrous political culture of Somalia.
