The End of regional Gebroos

Postby sahal80 » Thu Aug 23, 2018 9:22 am

I have stated recently that the regional Federal states being worry since the regime change in Ethiopia

In short the former pm who was hailing from a southren protestant minority called welayta people was not able to change shyt bc of the tigray control of the party

Pm Abiy as former intelligent officer the Tigray got played by him and were removed from all their powerful positions and their allies too and he got the support of the oromo and Amhra in the party and the parliament wich they make the majority of it.
This is how they use to controll the former pm
https://www.tesfanews.net/how-the-eprdf ... ister/amp/

So the new PM believes to cooperate with Eritrea and Somalia bc of his Oromo background. Atleast somalia was backing both the Oromo he may consider these two countries as strategic depth for his Oromo.

So when he was in Mogadishu he said he will deal directly with the Federal Govt. Maybe some regional leaders have been to addis ababa but nowadays the middle men aka Gebroos have gone. Their presence was very important for them as local channels, from now on the local role will be played by the ethiopian ambassador

So im talking for PL, JL, Galmudug, Southwest and Hirshabelle

As for SL, unlike the former pm, Mr abiy has sided with some arabs against others bc he needs money for local deconstruction(tgary and amhara)

So he is inclined to the UAE and America vs China-Djibouti commerically and the former ethiopian regime was the one who makes the deals with china interms of infrasturcture and now the are building a new commercial routes with Eritrea. In General, like Djibouti this will effect the future of berbera port too but bc of the UAE presence in there, Abiy is gonna use the somali Govts umbrella in order to exchange something with the UAE interms of the whole horn region also Eritrea wants to mediate between the Somali Govt and the UAE wich may finally lead to some acceptence of the UAE presence

this lander guy is talking about how SL should deal with this new policy of Ethiopia
