Should Gedo and Hiiraan break away from their respective enclaves

Postby SuperLander » Sun Aug 26, 2018 7:44 am

Hiiraan obviously should since it was an original region from the moment the Italians left in 1960. It should be directly ruled by Xamar.

The dilemma for Gedo breaking away is that if it does so then it would have to be directly ruled by the FG in Mogadishu and that federal government could in the future have a president or prime minister who isn’t MX but is in fact perhaps a kablalax particularly an Ogaden who isn’t neutral in the clan balance of power inside JL

No gedo belongs to jubbaland it was part of British east Africa and now it's part of Kenya . We should always weaken Somalia because Somalia is our enemy
And it's better warring clans keep killing each other Centralism is supported by hawiye. We can't support that..

Why Hiiraan?

Hirshabelle is different than JL bc we have no territorial disputes like Kismaayo and its port the center of conflict in that region.

We r just two united Gobols one took the capital and the other the presidency. In reality we r divided and each gobol manages itself. Now there is a problem of uniting the taxes as the jowhar vice president wants to keep his own as per gobol but politically we r still better than when we were were under Xamar.

While Gedo is expelling a local minister appointed by madoobe Matabaan has joined Hirshabelle peacefully.

Galmudug PM shaakir, Hirshabelle interior, Hiiraan Governor, Hirshabelle Mayor of Matabaan all in matabaan

I would be mad too if Ahmed Islam promised to switch leadership every 90 days yet mx have been waiting 5+ years

Soon we will not only liberate Jubbas from AS, but also Gedo from mx.

Not really. Gedo isn't settled by one clan, it's multi clan. OGs live in three of the 7 districts there, making a majority in some of those districts.
They are part of Jland will continue to be so.

Ogaden live in Gedo same way Marexaan live in Mogadishu. Both as guests essentially. Marexaan Reer Gedood waa dad Islaan with dhaqan. Whats to gain from kicking out masaakiin shacab?
