We have seen the same film in 90s when EPRDF led by Tigre had an agreement with ONLF, and now with Oromo at the helm is most likely the repeat of the 94 trick which means wait for us till we solve other Ethiopian conflicts, and we'll deal with you at last with a gunpoint, but it is different this time as ONLF and the regional admin are on one side, and other ethnic groups have seen the same pattern of policy and can't be deceived easily.
ONLF shouldn't trust the notion that this charming-snake Abiye and his Amhara nationalist would allow a fair referendum and easy transition. Hurdles upon hurdles will be on the way orchestrated and masterminded by the Nationalist Habeshas. Al-Itihad are Dulmi-diid groups are already operating to undermine ONLF, and sooner than later you may see Ethiopian government calling everyone including ONLF are Islamist terrorists operating in the region.
ONLF should tread carefully, there are booby-traps everywhere in this field of new Ethiopia.

ONLF should change its name and it's current leadership to take control of the whole region in 3 years time. If not onlf will remain the same .
So they should change the current leadership and put iidoor as the head you mean.

I dont agree with Zidane.
Al Ittihad is inactive in Ogaden. UWSLF renounced armed struggle in 2010. ONLF was the last insurgency in Ogaden.

It really just means all those who died fighting for ONLF died for nothing, no independence for ethnic Somalis, still under the yoke of Ethiopia which will always be a nation for the Habesha Christians.

al-Itihad had been working under the radar in parts of Somalia, and now, they have resurfaced in DDS. Some of their leaders are even in this new regional government of Mustafe. Luiz you need an update as you stuck in 1970.
