I actually support the development of Berbera.......not as an Ethiopian/UAE car park, but as a world class Somali port serving Somalia north and south.

It has choices. It will use ports with component people who can make things happen.

By the time these guys get up from their khat sessions Ethiopia has already built roads to Assab, Massawa and Lamu.
