Can’t fully blame a clan bro. OLF pretty much has full control over Walllaga and Illu Abba Borra. Both Macca territory. The current issue has nothing to do with clan, rather political affiliation. ODP and allies vs Olf and allies. ODP is using dirty politics and propaganda against OLF and the supporters are throwing in a bunch of lies all over the web to gain support. ODP and it’s supporters have support from the habesha, OLF is strictly OLF. If Dawud Ibsa was smart, he will never get into any agreement with the TPLF.I have predicted this situation and wrote it on different threads. Gaala Waachis is busy appeasing his Amhara masters. He's running with a vocal hot air by Amhar militant while his Oromo clan are killing left, centre, and right.
The naftanya has spoken like a real baria.1) The issue is both OPDO and OLF have some things they are wrong about. No need for me to elaborate here.
First of all, they need to release the terms of the agreement they reached in Asmara, Eritrea.
That is the only TRUE WAY to prove who/which side is wrong and which is right.
OPDO has a point: there cannot be two armies/governments in one country or region.
It'd be like ONLF and Liyyu controlling separate/divided areas of the Somali region, and fighting over it.
I am sure all somalis would condemn that and demand that their political movements unite as one.
2) It is not a religious or clan issue among Oromos; but rather, a competition for power in Oromia. Since the Amharas are the 2nd largest group, occupying rich and strategic lands, of course the OPDO would need their support, or at the very least, their indifference, on a federal level.
Parliament is majority Oromo/OPDO/Amhara/ANDM, together, they're well over HALF of parliament and the army and other institutions.
the OLF issue is a matter of power in oromia, it is a matter of who truly has the support of the oromo masses.
This is why OPDO knows it most likely will not be able to win any free and fair elections in significant parts of Oromia, especially in the east and parts of the west such as Wallaga.
it's a somewhat complex issue.
