This trip has shown that daarood cannot stop Somaliland strong ties with Ethopia. It's impossible Somali land economic ties with Ethiopia is very strong.

Abiy is a reasonable and honorable man. Ahmed Shide is "Somali" who wants use him to settle clan scores in Somali state. We will not accept him and make us distrust Abiy's intentions.

Waachis it's first trip since the new govt came in place in Addis ababa . It's what we call the first understanding between the 2 countries. What we need is now is gave two of the berbera corridor.. there is no war with us and Mogadishu. Really if abiye is sincere and wants to mediate why not but not with Failmaajo. Or any other daarood

I don't know much about Ahmed shide.
But he did welcome Somalilands president recently when he came to Ethiopia.
So he does have some powerful connections in the federal government of ethiopia.
I don't think abiy would allow anyone to destabilize the country, he didn't even let his maccaa clansmen in wallaga do that.
Perhaps Ahmed shide shows a different side to abiy and the federal government, who knows...

Ethiopia can't afford to lose ties with hargeisa or Mogadishu you see, so we can't really pick sides
It's best the two governments, SL and Somalia's government, talk it out.

The only way SL can get recognition from Ethiopia is to make afan oromo as the second language in SL adminstration.
Also oromos need representation in the SL tribal paliament.

i say, why hate your SL brothers, why not work on your own region and build it up
who knows, if isaaq see a successful southern somalia, they will want to join
who doesn't want to join a successful project.
