Ethiopian Airlines flight crashes with 149 passengers, eight crew on board

Ethiopian prime minister’s office says the flight has crashed on way to Kenya's capital Nairobi.

An Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi crashed early on Sunday with 149 passengers and eight crew members on board, a spokesman for the airline told Reuters.

“It is confirmed it happened 8.44 (am),” said the spokesman who did not give his name.

The Ethiopian prime minister’s official Twitter account expressed condolences to families of those lost their lives in the crash, without giving details.

“The office of the PM, on behalf of government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning,” the PM’s office said on Twitter.

Awrastaale is very strange you cant break the alliance between Somaliland and Ethiopia. We have no I'll feelings to Ethiopia whether they are amxara orom tigre. We do not have such feelings towards them and it's confirmed that 60 percent of the passenger were Somalis. What is strange is the fact that the secessionist project is quick to mourn others but never offer single condolences to their own.
