My question is, How can they tell the difference between the Somalis from NFD and Somalis from Somalia ? the answer is they can't and xenophobia against Somalis is just that, against all Somalis regardless of where they are from.

the situation of Somalis from NFD is just as bad, they cant even apply for identity cards in their own regions, but have to go elsewhere to apply for simple identity card, mistrust against NFD Somalis is age old and has been there since the British first landed and turned the ethnic groups against each other, Somalis were considered illegal immigrants long before Kenya got independence, long before Siad Barre threat to annex NFD, long before Alshabab terro threat.
