Farmaajo administration banned all airplanes from landing in Kismaayo Airport, without first landing in Mogadishu

It is not exactly a ban if they can still fly to and land in Kismaayo after going through Mogadishu first. It is an extreme inconvenience and costly too for anyone going to Kismaayo. I have no clue if the government's decision is wrong or not. What are the reasons they are giving for this decision? Is it related to or a reaction to Madoobe's Kismaayo recent sham elections. Also do you have non-Facebook/Twitter source for this information. I am just curious.

There are far easier ways to punish Kenya, like banning khat, asking them to leave somalia etc... but no, let's reroute planes containing somali citizens to xamar to punish Kenya.

This ban went into effect in May, 2019.
