Jamal Mohamed Hassan; the most hardworking, industrious, successful minister in 30 years

I always thought he was the most active of the ministers, but I didn't realize just how powerful, respected, or successful the guy was.
His name is Jamal Mohamed Hassan.
He is the Minister of Planning and International Relation (this is literally the most consequential cabinet post right now).
He is Darod/Warsangeli/Dubeys.
Someone described his stature in the Farmaajo government as what Dr Mohamed Adan Sheekh was to the Siad Barre early in the kacaan.
He is the brains behind all the positive foreign relations news the most recent of which was this week when the World Bank opened up an office in Somalia for the first time since 1991.
Jamal is intricately linked to every ministry; from finance to foreign to interior. As the Ministry of Planning, he is the spider that weaves the Web. There is not a SINGLE decision that is approved without Jamal's signature.
It is said he is really the shadow Prime Minister.
President Farmaajo's confidence in Jamaal is so total and complete, Farmaajo always jokes to him "Jamal if you run President, I will be your campaign manager.
I hope as time goes by, Somalia's cabinet picks are more like Jamal because with more of him, the country will leap.

The China fish deal was a fishy one concocted by his new wife. It caused a scandal when it was exposed that she presented herself as a representative of the FGS but when Beijing wanted proof, Jamal got involved trying to strong arm the Presidents office to give such a letter.
He is a corrupt guy. If any awards should be given it should be to Minister Beyle. He happens to be the only Minister making tangible progress. Runners up would be the Aviation Minister.

Mind you this was not conducted through official channels, evaluated to see if its in the national interest, the Ministry of Fisheries was not involved.

Don’t forget when he left his fellow SFG ministers stranded at Nairobi airport when Kenya refused to issue them visas. He used his foreign passport to get into Kenya. No solidarity!

That was 100% troll mode by me. I can’t say I’m too familiar with this case you just mentioned first I heard. What I will say is Somalia is in the infant stages of Governance. Protocol, separation of powers, etc are emerging concepts. This example you brought up of one ministry usurping another happens in countries way more advanced from Somalia.
But anyway assuming it happened exactly as you said that is disappointing, but the International good will, involvement you’re not giving this guy any credit? That’s his whole function! If you acknowledge that does the good outweigh the bad?

I remember Sahal used to spam this forum with "Jamaal is a huge Sahalist and any day now Kheyre will give him the boot."
As usual nothing came of it, but it's weird.
Sxb that you have to compare someone to Beyle is an insult to Beyle. Even so, from what I have hear, Beyle is like "an absent-minded professor." He is honest, hard working, and singularly focused...as in like tunnel vision.
Jamal literally puts things together for him.
In any case, I am not there in their offices and am not speaking from experience. What I wrote above is from one of Farmaajo's top aides.

I respect him because he is one of the few ministers who opened up an office in his deegaan (Badhan). He actually cares about his local constiuency even after he was named Minister
