Yes there is no way they should be viewed as half of someone in 2020 unacceptable situation. They should replace it with 5 instead of 0.5

They aren’t the only tribe that are considered 0.5, they are a lot of minorities in there. Still it’s wrong to say 0.5, that is what Americans use to call black Americans

Semantics of .5 is one thing. But reer Xamar, bantu, madhiban, etc. have less seats because they are smaller population than Hawiye, Darood, D&M and Dir. Giving them the same amount of seats as others doesn't make sense.

Reer xamar madhiban maybe so but jareer are big no denying that. If u add them together why not give them 1. 4.5 is based on tekniko and rpgs not population

The formula though not great, was trying to be fair and was not based on tekniko and rpgs. If it was based on that, there's a lot of clans that wouldn't be there.

So the question is should Jareer have more MPs than say Mudulood? Are jareer, reer xamar, madhiban, etc. combined as large as any of the other big 4 clans? In both cases I think the answer is no.

That is an extreme example mudulood is probably the biggest clan on Somalia. A better question is do you see the 0.5 man as half of yourself? Do you believe such a backward system should be used as a form of governance whilst our neighbours are sending satellites to space?
4.5 is a temporary solution it is not viable long term

No I don't consider any many as half myself and that's not what 4.5 is saying either. 4.5 is a power sharing structure where each of the large clans get 61 MPs and the clans that don't belong to any of those get a collective 31 because in general they are smaller population wise. Changing that 31 to 61 would actually have more jareer MPs than Abgaal.

4.5 is a ridiculous power sharing model there are clans that are grossly over represented and clans that are completely underrepresented. however most criticism of it is wrong. I agree with shirib .5 doesn’t mean anything the only clan in the .5 that is underrepresented is jareer but 1 is also ridiculous aswell. Somalia needs a tirakoob then for districts to be given per quota. 100k people = 1 district.

Why do 'langaabs' find it hard to accept their station in Skinny society as ordained by Providence?

Bantus are not laangaab, if one man 1 vote is implemented they will get a lot of seats. but it will depend on how the seats are divided. is it by population or by district?

when will somalia have its first bantu president?
