MOGADISHU (HOL) - A foreign country was involved in the Ex-Control bombing that claimed over 80 people, Somalia’s intelligence, NISA has said as the Horn of Africa nation comes to terms with end year attack.

The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in a tweet Monday said its preliminary findings zeroed in on a foreign country adding it is working with global intelligence agencies to uncover the perpetrators of the attack.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but the militant group Al-Shabaab has conducted such attacks before and some instances where mass civilian casualty is involved kept mum as it did in the October 2017 truck bombing which killed over 500 people.

The assertion by NISA of a foreign hand received sharp criticism from Wadajir Party leader Abdirahman Abdishakur who noted shifting blame to a foreign country amounted ‘cooperation with Al-Shabaab.’

“For the NISA to claim that a foreign country was behind the ex-control Afgoye attack, in which Al-Shabab terrorists massacred 100 ppl, doesn’t only mislead the public & cover up the agency’s failure, but it also diverts blame from the terrorist. This is a clear cooperation with AS,” the former minister said.

Yeah this is very suspicious. Al Shabaab usually doesn't take responsibility for attacks when there's such high civilian casualties and almost no government target. I actually think the Somali intelligence is onto something.

This seems very clumsy or a big coincidence but I’ll go with clumsy. It seems that NISA coming out and saying that threw them a major curveball. The smarter approach for them would be bite your tongue and just continue to keep silent. Seems to be a big blunder. If anything this exposes 3 things:

1) Domestic spoilers working with foreign nations

2) A weak Government that cannot do anything to stop it

3) With Al Shaydaan finally out right claiming this, they have been exposed to whatever Sub 60 IQ civilian sympathizers still support them as murderers.

It's always someone else's fault. From Somaliland, to UEA to Kenya. But never does the failed so-called federal government take responsibility for the 4KM square it controls in Mogadishu. If Farmaajo can't lead and cant take responsibility for his so called government, he should step aside for someone who can

Propaganda is not a substitute with the reality on the ground, why are hawiye killing eachother

weather foreign power or al shabab the fact is hawiye are killing hawiye and using "al shabab" against eachother

its no secret who killed yarrisow was hawiye and elmaan death was done by rival hawiye clan

you see my friend when you bring foreign actors and al shabab and start using against eachother, the tribal feud still remain and once it explodes, the rule of game change

this bombing was game changer
