BREAKING NEWS: KENYA BEGINS FORMAL TALKS TO REMOVE TROOPS FROM SOMALIA

Postby Voltage » Wed Mar 04, 2020 12:44 pm

Alhamdulilah the best news ever

People don't know AMISOM was originally supposed to be 6 MONTHS but ever since then the Security Council extends their mandate.

The next deadline is 2021 before AMISOM either leaves or has to be extended.

1. I am absolutely sure that there will be another extension in 2021. Right now formally people are treating it as a hard deadline so Somalia feels the urgency to finalize security responsibilities but privately everknows that there will be AT LEAST 1 more extension in 2021.

2. NO COUNTRY in AMISOM has ever started formal talks for exit plans and certainly NONE of the other countries have given any hint they will---that would be forcing a hard deadline instead of letting Somalia be the first to say "Ok guys I am ready to end this" at which point there will be understanding there will be no further extensions.

3. That Kenya will send its Defense Secretary to start FORMAL EXIT PLAN TALKS is 100% assurance they will be gone when this mandate expires whether it is extended or not.

4. We have SUSPECTED that Kenya was ready to pull BACK from its heavy and counterproductive interference in Somalia WHEN THEY MOVED FOREIGN MINISTER M0NICA JUMA TO THE DEFENSE MINISTRY

5. The fighting in Mandera AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY THE FEARS AND PARANOIA BROUGH BY THE 11 KENYAN MPS showing how potentially VULNERABLE KENYA HERSELF IS TO DIVISION from Somalia at HER WEAKEST has woken up Nairobi from her inappropriate interference in Somalia.

6.We are EXPECTING Kenya to turn a page and RECOMMIT herself seriously to respect for the internal affairs of her neighbors

SOME PEOPLE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE DELICATE ROLE PLAYED BY AMBASSADOR YAMAMOTO AND IN DEED THE US SECURITY ESTABLISHMENT IN GENTLY PUSHING KENYA TO THE RIGHT DIRECTION

I HAVE KEPT SILENT BECAUSE OF THE DELICATE NATURE OF STRATEGIES

1. THE US GOVERNMENT CONSISTENTLY KEPT INTERNATIONAL PRESSURE TO BEAR ON THE FACT THIS IS ABOUT SOMALIA...NOT ABOUT SOMALIA AND KENYA

2. THIS REMOVED ANY LEGITIMACY FROM HARDLINERS IN KENYA PRESSURING A "FORCEFUL" KENYAN RESPONSE TO SNA TROOP MOVEMENT

3. MONICA JUMA WAS MOVED TO DEFENSE MINISTRY TO REIGN IN THE KDF BRAS FROM PLAYING SPOILERS

4. THE US EMPOWERED HER ACTIONS THROUGH CONSISTENT EVOCATION OF THIS IS ABOUT SOMALIA

5. THE US ALSO EMPOWERED THE SOMALI GOVERNMENT BY SHOWING HOW SERIOUS IT FELT ABOUT HER INTERNAL AFFFAIRS

6. THEY DID THIS EVOKING A POSITION THAT SOMALIA WOULD PUBLICLY REFUSE WHICH GAVE THE US THE CREDIBILITY TO ENCOURAGE KENYA TO RESPECT HER NEIGHBOR'S ANGER..."HEY KENYA THEY ARE NOT LISTENING EVEN TO ME SO YOU MUST UNDERSTAND HOW SENSITIVE AND DEEPLY DAMAGING THIS COULD VE FOR YOUR LONG TIME RELATIONS"

7. THANK GOD FOR AMBASSADOR YAMAMOTO. WHEN HISTORY IS WRITTEN, HE WILL BE WIDELY RESPECTED AND ADMIRED BY AN ENTIRE NATION

This would be great news if Kenya would actually follow through with it. Unfortunately they will not and this is just an attempt by them to put pressure on the international community to make the government in Mogadishu to get off their case.
