Welcome. Although it's odd what couldn't be attained by force when force was the method should be entertained now when peace is developing.

Two other thoughts;

1. Ironically, the Somali side by the very nature of its border (it literally was built with Marehan in mind) reflects one group dominance and the other side "everyone else"

-Dolo, Somalia (Marehan) - Dolo Odo, Ethiopia (Everyone else primarily Degoodiye + Marehan now)

-Beled-Xaawo, Somalia (Marehan) - Mandera, Kenya (Everyone else primarily Garre + Marehan now)

2. I actually would love Dir, Degoodiye, Garre, and especially Rahanweyn who do historically have both a material and emotional connection to the land to start moving. I want people to feel free to live and work anywhere they want plus for selfish economic reasons...more people = more opportunities = more capital = more services = more needs = MORE GROWTH
