Where are people getting these numbers from? Can anyone site any sources? It keeps changing every time too. Some are claiming $4.5 million, some $4.3 million and others even more. This project was funded by the Somalia Stability Fund and I can't find any figures on their website or their social media pages either. Also while actual construction started in 2018, the actual project got the go head in 2015 while Shariif Sakiin was the president of Southwest State and Qoslaaye was in Villa Somalia.
Agree 100%

there is not a single piece of evidence, where is says the government spend $4.3 million on this project. But I think in this age of fake news it would be better for the government to show much money and time was spent on each development project.
You want evidence right , well here it is straight from the horse's mouth . Please don't come with an other excuse.

I saw this already and I wasn't looking for excuses. I will never in my life defend tuugnimo. The British firm that was contracted to build the airport has some questions to answer. Claiming the cost of building that tiny building and that sorry excuse for a runway is $4 million plus is crazy. Twitter users are bombarding that guy with questions and insults and rightly so.

Just the other day some idiot in Nairobi by the name of Adam Abdelmoula who hasn't set foot in Somalia for years claimed 56,000 people were displaced from Beled Xaawo town because of Janan militias being chased away from their base in Mandera. Part of my family is in Beledxaawo/Mandera and they said it is all lies. The amount of money lagu cuno in the name of Somalis and Somalia is insane.

EU led project paid by EU TAX payers money = EU bureaucracy

money was probably spent by contractors on $2000 dollars per day. i doubt N&N received any of the money.

Ok trolling aside N&N sometimes I think really needs a injection of PR staff, protocol officers, etc. Absolutely no reason for the first lady, PM to go and ‘xarigaka jar’ a runway that looks like it was paved by just 1 landcruiser.

They could not even dug a proper few inches deep holes to plant the poles firmly to the ground. The only think keeping those qoryo from collapsing (as the Mr. Igusawir prime minister cuts the ribbon) are the two poor dudes standing on either end and are tasked with the an enviable job of keeping them upright .

i used to hear waare saying "they want the contract to be given to their tuugo and im against this otherwise we have many projects that r just waiting to sign"

to make Sure Ugaas hassan gave the baladweyne airport project wich will cost $3.4 million to local company owned by nice religious guy called sh abdulqadir Mumin.Turkey embassy will offer the engineers.

EU paid €19 million for Barawe airport and Mogadishu stadium + peace building projects
even this one is shit looks like gobol level

suuqa waxaa ku jirta in corrupt candhowadaag gave that contract to this ganacsadi with gafow and ibrahim dheere. this is why the donors should deal directly with the FMS you see garowe airport it was built with $5.m paid by kuwait

our ugaas used to be maareeyaha dekada berbera he worked finance ministery back in the 70s and 80s he is accountant. late Ugaas was veterinarian a colleague of former pm geedi. that why our ugaases dont wear dhaqan clothes.

Apperantly this project was led by Cumar Faaruq Macallin (Farmaajo's brother in law) and Ahmed Farmaajo.

^ Yes, according to the world's top anti-corruption body, Transparency International, Somaliland is the only Skinny region to achieve its goal of doing away with corruption altogether. Congrats to Somaalileenka!

interesting ...
You seem to forget the corruption of stealing $160 million for hargeysa water project

http://www.somalilandsun.com/somaliland ... n-project/

This is per chairman of the Social services parliamentary committee MP Abdirahman Osman Alin ‘Abdirahman Dheere’ during a briefing with Somnews TV in Hargeisa.
“We at the legislature shall not rest until we unearth reasons behind failure of the multi-million dollar project” said MP Abdirahman Dheere
The MP was reacting to recent queries raised over the Water Expansion Project not coming to fruition though multiple donors have chipped in $157m.

no no noooo , stealing $157 million and nothing to show for it is not corruption. but but BUT look at N&N they build an airport for 4 million dollars
