The Good Life of Politicians

Some have private jets, bodyguards, villas (in Kenya, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, etc), luxury cars, multiple wives & mistresses, etc. Some invest in stock/forex markets, real estate (i.e. Darul Salam) and other sectors that generate profit.

Politics is one area where you can accumulate such status/wealth in a short time. For instance, Saudi Arabia paid former president HSM a handsome figure ($50 million) to cut ties with Iran. If you're HSM and were worth not much before politics, but become a millionaire afterwards, then you learn not to quit politics. You can still generate millions of dollars even without being part of the gov, but as a mucaarad.

Meanwhile, low level shaqaalos in the various ministries who earn a few hundreds see the stark difference of lifestyle, and are left with no choice other than corruption & stealing what they can. Who can blame them?

Nah, there's no baraka in ill-gotten & maal xaaraan ah. As for evil eye, they should be wary of barakacayaasha whose misfortune & suffering they've caused.

It isn't a good idea to present proof in public; many could get hurt. Consult discreetly the Attorney General for proof.

I would say the wealth he accumulated during his term is a very respectable sum. If I were him, I would retire for good and not show my face in public.

I've been following the works of Suleiman Mohamed Mahmoud, Somalia's young no nonsense attorney general. He comes across as hard working and sincere. I hope he succeeds in limiting the endemic corruption that's destroying the country.
