Breaking: VP of DDS Mudane Adan Farah Ibrahim

Postby Jabuutawi » Wed Jun 10, 2020 4:37 pm

Has been promoted to the Speaker of the House of Federation of Ethiopia. Hambalyo, Hambalyo, Hambalyo.

https://ethiopianmonitor.com/2020/06/10 ... ederation/

The new VP of DDS will be either Omar Abdi Meydane or Ibrahim Osman, both Ciise (Yonis Mousse), and former mayors of Dir Dhabe.

Current mayor is also from the Beesha.

Note: I think Abiy Ahmed Ali is amending terms with Ciise who are mad at him for returning pilot Lt. Fuad Yusuf Ali to IOG regime. His actions were unbecoming of a Nobel Peace Prize recipient. Plus, Ciise land is the economic lifeline of Ethiopia. He better appease the Beelweynta, he has no other choice but to.

Fortunately for Abiye, the clan in question being of Skinny persuasion (the most caade qaate race known to man), all it will take to appease, is few bread crumbs.

Bread crumbs, hardly. It is a sought after position. Just look at folks who have held it previously, who’s who of Ethiopian politics.

We’re repsented at both the federal (ministerial and parliamentary) and provincial governments, that’s what landheers do. In DDS, we have VP, 3 ministers, many deputy ministers, countless directors and parliamentarians.

Btw, Ibrahim Osman, former mayor of DD, is the current deputy finance minister, coming under Ahmed Shide at the ministerial post.

That said, I want to break off from Ethiopia and go my separate way.

Somali Kenyans hold higher positions such as speaker of the parliament and defense minister and state attorney but .Ethiopia Somalis, this is their highest federal position. What is the point of being part of a country if you aren’t trusted with important federal positions

My last sentence states my preference; Somali region completely independent from Addis dictating our destiny. Somali-Kenyans should strive for that same goal. I understand they are completely satisfied with the status quo, whereas Somali-Ethiopians guux baa ku dhex jira oo xornima doon ah.

VP Adan would be the highest ranked Somali at the federal level not withstanding Ahmed Shide.

These are the front runners.

Add Mahdi Gire...former mayor of DD.

Correction: Omar Abdi Meydane is the current governor of Sitti. Ibrahim Isman Farah was former mayor of DD and current deputy finance minister at the federal level.

It is the highest position a Somali holds, but let us not forget the reality concerning this matter. Abiye has been seeking extension, but the speaker khaira ibrahim, who's Tigre, refused to entertain such idea.
Had Abiye chose other nations such as Afar, Dabuubs, or Gurage they'll bargain with him, but who's better than Somali-yesman who won't bargain at all.

This is the the story

Now, Abiye has got his answer to Mursal.

OD, I do not know much about Karanle clan other than what I read in forums and Wikipedia. I am not sure if they willingly joined Oromia (others know more about it) but they paid a heavy price when conflict resumed. Their villages were burned, people displaced, raped and killed.

Similar situation Geeri Kombe are facing.

Barsuq another clan that has been completely assimilated into the Gadaa system.

You gotta remember this though, no one came to their rescue much like Ciise. Ciise was in conflict with Oromos/wanna be Oromos like Gurgura in 2018-2019. To this day, Ciise is fighting an ethnic war with Afars in three districts that were historically Ciise territory. We haven't lost an inch of land. We are paying dearly with young men's lives lost (300 killed), but we have dished our own justice. If it were not for federal troops assisting Afar militia from three countries, we would be doing Harimaadee in Samara.

On thing I learned these last two years about the conflict in Ethiopia is, no other clan will come to your rescue. You have to depend on your own and defend your land. If there were any semblance of Somali unity, Gadabursi and Gurgura wouldn't be wishing for the demise of Ciise - fact.
