The internet probably has nothing to do with the government. We will find out soon enough though. Also how can there be a civil war in Somalia when every group is in their region and fully armed these days? If anyone picks up guns against the government I can assure you Farmaajo will just jet out of Mogadishu and let whoever wants fight there fight among themselves.

Word on the streets says: Hormuud told to cut the internet. Eriterian troops will arrive in Mogadisho soon, and the parliament will vote 2 year extention. I knew something fishy was cooking.

It wasn't an intentional shut down bro. These paranoid and dishonest people are making it into something it was not. It was a large scale service outage caused by a submarine fiber cable damage. Those things happen all the time and repairing them takes a lot time because you need divers, fiber cable splicers and many other things etc.

No war is going to come of PM sacked by the Parliament, PM have been used to get sacked since Abdullahi Yusuf, HSM and Sheikh Sharif and no war happen.

But if that backward Ethiopian idea of shutting down the internet and mobile phone is ever tried by this government, something Somalis never did and has no culture for it, then definitely Farmaajo needs to resign and go, he is basically copying Abi Ahmed

There are confirmed reports of armed militias amassing at the gates of the capital Mogadishu, ready to storm the city. A group of odayaasha beelaha and other prominent Somali figures have written a manifesto to Farmaajo, urging him to vacate the presidency within 24 Hrs, and spare the nation another bout of the Nineties type bloody civil war.

Lol, half the PMs in the parliament are Hawiye and this vote won’t happen without them, so who is fighting war? Somalia has already seen war and fighting its not like there is repressed ethnic group that is doing uprising like Ethiopia’s Oromo, this government hardly controls anything
