The irony of this is that this electoral model was the choice of the opposition and this electoral commission is much more transparent than the one held 4 years ago when hassan shiekh, who is among the desperate opposition, allowed his brother in law to lead the electoral commission.
Some of the other opposition members that are making these desperate claims include the likes of abdirahman shakur who sold the rights to exploit maritime resources in the Somali ocean to Kenya for a fee, and shiekh sharif who is former quranic teacher turned senior ICU member.
These sort of relics of a tumultuous past era in which corruption and incompetence was a mainstay have no place in the Somalia of tomorrow.
