I was one of Cirro's biggest critics, but he changed---and quickly jumped ship---before everything including the lose of life and blood spilled by his colleagues who not only refused to change but revolted and brought rebellion to their people.

Furthermore Cirro has been a great advocate for his people and region being the most public Marehan to face off with Sahan Group and has cultivated very close relationships with the International Community and Donors.

I absolutely commend him and the fact he changed is actually a plus on him especially when he did.

People make mistakes but Cirro's case isn't defined by a mistake, it's defined by his Redemption.

He can redeem himself of treason by capturing Kismayo or becoming a unifying figure to drag Beesha forward. If Ina Sayid flip flops and sings for n&n for a few years you will forgive him too?

No damiir.

Thank God you guys are not our leaders and that Cirro was welcomed warmly in Garbahaarey when he was stoned last time he came as Jubbaland Minister.

1. Cirro isn't jumping in now after conflict. He jumped out at the first serious sign Madoobe had become an obstacle to Farmaajo. He jumped out before troops were sent to Gedo. He jumped out when Jubbaland even intruded into the Gov arresting the criminal Janan.

2. Cirro is immensely valuable human resource for Marehan and Gedo governance right now. Human Resource has different income categories for a reason. Cirro brings unique skillset and donor relationships that is much needed asset to us right now.

Maybe you guys live in a glass wonderland where a wan is waved and resources are plenty, but the brain drain in Somalia is probably the single biggest thing affecting the quality of life in the country----more than drought and warfare even. The brain drain is the single biggest factor even facilitating our susceptibility to both.

So Motion Denied. Yes to Cirro.

I agree with Voltage the dude jumped ship and has redeemed himself. But Fartaag and Sayid Aden cannot be forgiven for their continued silence. Just today a little child was killed in Kismayo for being Marehan, a couple days ago it was a Reer Hassan soldier who got whacked. Your enemies dont care about your subclan nor do they care about your past.

1. When MX wealth was being robbed left right and center he was busy bootlicking. When Madobe was literally bulldozing and seizing MX guryo and shops and transgressing against Reer Ugaas Sharmarke (xataa forgt about MX) in Kismayo he was bootlicking. Where was he when a young man from tolka was murdered in Suuq Yare shortly after he became a Madobe bootlicker?
Spare us the BS

He jumped ship AFTER Farmajo showed he doesn't plan to be a ceremonial Fief of Benadir. Stop trying to faani idiots for us

2. I see him a traitor unless he leaves politics and apologizes to tolka in Kismayo or drags Beesha forward. Our politicians (apart from Farmajo) are imbeciles. 2 PMs and they did practically nothing for Beesha and one was busy with his Puntland Bromance. Spare us the BS of "muh resources". Since the TFG 2 PMs and a President little to nothing tangible from them (army can be defunded in a heartbeat and become a militia) but Aw Hirsi will unlock all doors miyaa? :russ:
My point will stand until we see them building hospitals, schools, infrastructure like roads, a port in Bardera etc.

Some people look to the past, while others look to the future.

The reason Somaliland escaped the turmoil of Somalia the past 30 years is they didn't look to the past, they looked to the future when it was about their internal affairs.

Cigaal and others whom they called colloborators were given amnesty for the good of their people because of the value of their human resource.

Cigaal ended up saving Somaliland from the destructive mistake that SNM Golden Boy Tuur would have brought to them when he wanted to fold the project and tie Reer Hargeisa to the warlordism of the South.

That's the same reason why I choose Cirro.

1. He has not committed anything wrong deserving of the calibre of your passion.
2. He jumped ship before Blood was spilled in the name of the administration and he did it without any expectation of job offer or good will from our side. He then subsequently worked his way back slowly gaining trust to even be welcomed back to Garbo.
3. He has valuable human resource, job experience, international contacts, and sophistication to be of advantage to his people.

Grievance is justified, but only a fool allows it to come at the expense of more interest.

Egal cannot be compared to idiots we have. Egal worked for a GOVERNMENT while the likes of Aw Hirsi were being bootlickers for a petty warlord.
So now working with MSB against your clan interest is the same as being a bootlicker for a warlord? :-@

Imagine a MJ politican being a kaboqaad for Barre Hiiraale and then being welcomed in Garowe. How many MJs will back him. Atleast they have dhiig unlike you.

1. I want him to go to Marehan families who were evicted and had their homes bulldozed out of qabyaalad during his time in Kismayo and apologize to them for sitting in Kismayo being political-prostitute when bulldozers ripped through their homes and when defenceless children and old people were evicted.

2.Blood was spilled in 2013 when Marehan civilians were viciously targeted for revenge by this administration. Haye do you have amnesia or Kismayo changed hands in 2015 self coronation?

3.Like Marehan politicians who failed to show more political nous than our 90s/2000s warlords and failed to outsmart petty warlords, he is an imbecile. Marehan politicians leaving Somalia is NOT "brain drain", that applies to people with brains.

The problem displayed is called insularity/limited perspective.

What is being discussed is what "Marehan" should do with "Marehan" individuals based on "Marehan" interest.

The Isaaq/Cigaal narrative was told from a similar internal point of view where a clan "Isaaq" had to make a choice about " Isaaq" individuals who were considered traitors/collaborators based on "Isaaq" interest.

Again, I didn't say Cirro is an innocent Mother Theresa, but he is certainly not what what is being alleged. Furthermore, periphery participation doesn't mean you are responsible for things out of your control.

Even so, I would gladly brush him with it if he was like Fartaag today, but he is not, and once again he jumped ship quite before this state rebellion.

Let's agree to disagree.

I’m not against him per say. If he wants to help Gedo and the GRA. He should learn their motives and objectives and communicate that with the IC as Voltage said he has their ear. That’s a middle ground I think that would work. He at least came back when he realized what was up. But I won’t trust him with a position again. It shows his lapse of judgement to me imo.
