Woow interesting we Somalis were even dealing with Omanis both in independence wars and business, the Omanis I have meet were wonderful elderly men they seem like the Arabs that loves Somalis most. Yeah the Gulf is rich but a small poor Eastern European nation like Latvia is way more sophisticated regarding Ethnic Nationalism, loyalty towards the state, educated people, political ideologies. Horta how come Saudis are such evil people ? its the only Arab nation where Somalis are beaten by their boss.

For someone who lives in the Gulf most of the year, Somalia are nothing like Gulf Arabs. I like to consider myself as very observant so this is what I notice:

-Due to severely harsh climate, little rain, shortness of livestock they always had less appetite for war, anarchy, unlike Somalis who are blessed with good land, that allows them the kibir to fight over little stuff. You’ll be in a whole Khutbah there talking about conserving water. Even with the Ottomons many Gulf tribes were reluctant to fight, the Britts had to use a lot or effort orchestrating.

-Gulf Arabs are more degan, less feisty, than Somalia, but on the flipside have way less pride than Somalis. A Somali who is about to die if hunger, will look at a Gaal like ‘yaa tahay adiga’ while Gulf Arabs will literally worship them. This is a very unique trait of Somalis that I find extremely fascinating. I think it’s because Somalis Historically were a very closed society who didn’t deal with outsiders. They have a lot of pride that when you channel it the right way they could do amazing things. A nation like Somalia of 8 million was minutes from capturing Addis Ababa, the capital of a nation of like a hundred million. Even today after decades of lawlessness, Somalis are going tit for tat with Kenya at the courts.

-Again due to living in very rough conditions, they have more of a culture of obeying a king, ruler, etc, and war is a last result. In all Gulf countries they make Dua for the ruler ‘اللهم وفق ولي عهـدنا إلي ما تحب و ترضي، اللهم البسه لباس الصحة و العافية' etc

they relay on desalination. money talks here. they have less animals than us but have more milk because of maximising milk yield per cow. there is no more bedouin days sii soco soo soco they have. dairy farms abd companies. war niyahow dadkaas iyo Somali wax la isku matalo maaha i think you lived in Saudiga wich is a big country but they have green side like abha and Tihama mountains in the south and finalliy you heard the Saudi green initiative these days.
