Somali Person of the Year---Gen Mohammed Tahlil Biixi, Ground Forces Commander of Somalia.

Man am I happy to see this man celebrated.

I don't know him as Gen or Mohammed, I know him as DHOORE.

This man is my dad's best friend of over 40 years. He drove my dad to the hospital when I was born. That's how close they are.

I generally have kept away from ever commenting about him due to the bias I have, surprisingly, however, it seems I have mentioned him once before---ironically before he was ever involved with government.
One of the Marehan Ahlu Sunnah seats was given to ina Tahliil Biixi...Marehan/reer Diini/reer Siyaad.

I have never met the guy but his brother a former army Col and businessman is one of my dad's best friends.
It makes me proud to see DHOORE recognized for what he has done to make Somalia's army come around. This dude has been INSTRUMENTAL in taking the newly trained cadets and making Somali Federal Soldiers out of them.

This is my ultimate best choice of a moment describing the future Somalia I want to see;

Gen Mohammed Tahlil Biixi --- as I know the man, DHOORE; asks Somali trained cadets

At 1:10;

HAVE YOU BEEN TAUGHT TO TREAT YOUR CIVILIAN PEOPLE WITH MERCY? HAVE YOU??

HAVE YOU BEEN TAUGHT TO TREAT EVERY SOMALI GIRL LIKE YOUR SISTER? HAVE YOU??

If you practice those two values, they are half of defending your people from all harm or enemy.

BTW Dhoore's explanation for those two questions is;

1. How they treat the public is about their BEHAVIOR.

Their behavior must always reflect mercy. Always

2. How they treat their Somali sister is about their CHARACTER.

Their character must always reflect honor. Always.

If their character and their behavior reflects the same good value, those man have conquered half of what it means to defend their nation and people.

The other half is the physical aspect including training, readiness, preparedness, loyalty, discipline, etc.
