I don't even think it is because "some clans" have more influence than others as rarely are these population studies entities staffed or even influenced by direct clan lobbying.

I think it has more to do with security ironically.

1. The alleged perception of security means more field visits and other random info filling the UN and associated "DATABANKS."

2.The more disproportionate overrepresentation in the big pool of data banks the more "RAW INFORMATION" available to source even if that info has not been measured/weighted andor statistical analysis

3. Which all leads to what we see, a clearly problematic situation using inference but they have the minimal scientific veneer of an identifiable methodology


THE PROBLEM HERE IS THE DATA POOL.

Either they establish a standardized methodology or some outside (even Somali entity) needs to come into existence providing scientific review of all studies purporting on this subject and establish a sort of public file or grading system based on the weakness of methodology and level of basic accuracy.
