They will sabotage your elections while they try to fool the international community into handing them more aid thru fake elections which don’t even happen in the town of bosaso but only garowe and few surrounding areas

-there are no political parties in puntland state, government officials currently are selected on tribal quotas currently, hence no parties or even an opposition to incumbent state government. For elections you need parties
- these elections were never mentioned before 4 months ago, we never heard a single thing about elections from puntland 5 or 6 months ago, these were announced 2 months ago in a sudden announcement- hence most people didn’t take them seriously. In comparison, the Somaliland election were agreed on 2.5 years ago and had previous rough time line even before biixi was elected in 2017.
Puntland state is facing financial crisis and can’t afford to fund these ‘elections’ hence the funding would have to be from external sources - is that likely in a a short period of time
Security issue, as you know large parts of puntland state are under ISIS terrorists, rebels or tribal militias so the security element can’t be guaranteed.
These core issues alongside server SL other small ones ensure we won’t see elections in puntland state any time soon
