Your claims of cuqdad fall right on its face when;

1. MJ/HG have made and enjoyed relative peace in Galkacyo, one of the hottest flashpoints of conflict in Somalia, if we were cuqdad ridden this wouldn't have been made possible.

2. Zero animosity towards Isaaq - besides some political disagreements - even when their figure heads took part in the Mudug massacres, if anything our relationship has improved since the war with both sides starting businesses and investing in each others respective regions. No lander that has ever travelled to Puntland has felt unwelcome or harassed.

3. Zero animosity towards Raxoweeyne, even after joining the call for USC declaration of war against us, they have been welcomed as IDPs, have started businesses in Puntland and are taking part in the upcoming elections.

You are ignoring the elephant in the room. Darod is a tribe while isaaq is a clan, this means isaaq is related by blood while darod has similar culture but isn’t related by bloodline. This is why isaaq subclans fight and then make up lithe day after like brothers do but darod sub tribes have been killing each other and fighting for 30 year. Even last week we had some darod celebrate kenyan airforce air strikes in west gedo.


Darod as a tribe was made up around 120-130 years ago as a collection of small tribes came together to form the darod tribe. This was to fend off the big dominant clans of isaaq, hawiye, ciise etc
