H.E. President Mohamed Farmaajo unveils anti-corruption commission

Postby UgaaskaBarakaysan » Sat Aug 14, 2021 5:44 pm

The President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo today has unveiled the independent anti-corruption commission which will oversee the transition into wider transparency in all governmental institutions. This new commission is one of many other safeguards put in place to increase the internal and external confidence that all stakeholders have in the usage of governmental funds by this administration

This continued fight against pervasive corruption has allowed for the government to begin and nearly complete the debt arrears clearance and provide consistent salary to both civil servants and military personnel.

The 2021 elections is almost upon us and many analysts are coming to the conclusion that the incumbent President has the greatest probability of returning as well. Guul Somalia  :som:

A step in the right direction.
I agree we've taken many steps forward and with the continuation of consistent, stable, and competent leadership the country will excel. The bane of corruption has become commonplace with the vacuum of authority and will take institutional levers to bring it under control. Those that have profited from the black markets and lawlessness will not willingly allow their criminal enterprises to be brought to account. But the law and order administration of this government has done a lot to combat that criminal cabal. It's much simpler to destroy something but very complex to fix and will take the right approach to explain that to the masses. :som:
