What are you talking about man ? Who mentioned foreign aid ? I'm talking about private business here. Mogadishu economically is way more superior to Hargeisa. I mean Hargeisa only has one business district where as Mogadishu has at least 4 main business districts. Even you uncle dahabshiil invests 10 times more money in Mogadishu than his home town Hargeisa. If that's not a sign that your economy is dead then i don't know what is.

Mogadishu get more aid flowing thru it but in pure business sense hargeisa is miles ahead. Hargeisa is home to most somali startups and has the most big business HQs. As well as that, hargeisa has a much larger livestock trade market, import/export commodities markets. Etc as well as links Ethiopian Somalis, landers and Djiboutins.


Mogadishu is dependent on foreign aid flows.

Dahabshiil’s home town is in burco, he has made huge investments in all over east Africa, the fact you are speaking of highly of him building a building on Mogadishu speaks volumes to the difference in the levels of development between the two communities.
