Puntland going bankrupt

Postby TarTar » Wed Sep 22, 2021 11:43 am

continuing counterfeiting is causing the region to experience continued hyperinflation. that in turn is putting pressure on moneytraders n other businesses. Puntland workers suffer immensely because of this crisis

Ayanle, 32,has been struggling to make ends meet after his money changing business collapsed in March, alongside Garowe’s 70 or so money changers in the central Somali town

https://puntlandpost.net/2021/09/22/wor ... s-jobless/

"We dumped our worthless Somali shillings in the streets of Garowe,” he said

https://www.africanews.com/2017/07/14/s ... ian-birr//

a while back even al shabab terrorists literally warned Puntland officials about countefeiting. Puntland responded threatening businesses that they had to use the worthless shillings

“Puntland government warns business owners in Puntland against following the ban on the Somali shillings. Anybody found complying Al-Shabaab ban will be considered as a member of them and will face consequences,” the statement cited by local media said

After Farmaajo is re-elected, one of the top priorities should be replacing the governors of PL & JL. Then, it should be WG's turn.

Somaliland government controls more territory, collects more revenue than Somalia

I want the people in Puntland province of Somalia to have a better government. but can't compare 1 of tha 2 countries that crea Somali Republic a provinces within the other country.

u need to focus on turning ur federal government into a functioning government. how u let a province counterfeit ur shilling
After Farmaajo is re-elected, one of the top priorities should be replacing the governors of PL & JL. Then, it should be WG's turn.
Federal presidents should reign in federal governors. but Somaliland is not a federal province of tha ex Italian colony. just cause I want y'all to reign in ur federal provinces don't mean I believe Somailand is a federal province. Somaliland wants a strong federal government controlling Hamar so we can have final status negotiations.

don't fuk up our shared goal of a strong government in Hamar by excercising ur make-belief idea of controlling Somaliland. Somaliland is gone. y'all need to salvage wut's left the ex Somali Republic. dats tha ex Italian colony

Puntland government is doing well financially, they are building roads bridges and buildings, before they couldn't even pay their soldiers and you would hear a mutiny every month.
on the shilling the problem is not only in Puntland most businesses in Somalia use mobile money, otherwise they would've sent the somali shilling to the south, so the solution is printing new money by the federal government.

No I miss the days you ilkayar would use your kind in trying to distabilise Ogaden regions like the garissa laguub incident in the 80s.

I also miss when barre huraale would go to Addis Ababa trying to get deals to backstab ogaden.
