The leading historian of Ethiopia, former Minister of Education, Arts & Culture and Dean of the National Library under Haile Selassie, Takla Sadiq Mekuria, devoted a short chapter to the question of origin of Gragn and the identity of the Malasay in his rough monograph on the Gragn Wars (1973/1974) called "Ya Gragn Warara", in it he draws on the evidence from Arab Faqih Sihab Uddin and the chronicles of Sarsa-Dengel. Takla was also able to draw on the oral tradition of Harar. Through the mediation of Dagazmac Wargnah he interviewed Ahmad Ali Sami, the highest authoritative scholar of Harar. Gragn's father was to come from the Hawiye (Somali clan) in the Ogaden; a genealogy of eight generations before Gragn is known in this tradtion.[27]
Karanle Hawiye

This ends the years of debates with Dir and Darod claiming the Imam based on

Where he was born
Number of forces
Marrying his Widow
His successor

The biggest scholars of East Africa have confirmed the Imam's lineage if you know Ahmed As Sami and Tekla Sadiq Makuria. Many have been claiming the many glories of Adal Empire like Nur Mujahid and the defeat of Galawdewos with much less evidence. Karanle will lead the Nation again    :som:

Are you f-king high? Harari records show the f-king full of abtirsi of nur and there is a f-king sub clan called REER NUR. Also, oromo man himself said gurey's full abtirsi and it is for sure not karanle, karanle kulaha. Maye waa qashin, war naga tag. If it was karanle why wasn't there a single soldier of karanle? There was dir and darood fighting, 1000 Marexan soldiers 700 geri etc shut the fuck up with your bull shit we are in the futah you are not, you are simply dilutional.  Nuur ibn mujahid, Hirabu bin goita emir of all somalis and btw there are different versions describing hirabu COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY. There is book evidence, hisotorical evidence, written evidence and map evidence of this. Adal is synonymous with Marexan.

Sorry champ, Gurey was a Karanle Hawiye man from Babile and we still live there, it's been confirmed by records in Harar and Addis Ababa, check the archives, we have always stated this but being far from the centre of power the Karanle of Ethiopia have been focusing on their survival, come to Babile saxib it is a beautiful mountainous country built for raising warriors.

How does an Oromo provide an abtirsi when they came to Harar centuries later? Only the work of scholars that have their work peer reviewed can be accepted, not a random Oromo oday. Amiir Nur Al Mujaahid was a great leader and greatly respected in Adal history, if you have Harari records please post them as i've done so already i'm pleased to see this.

Futuh al Habesha mentions Hawiye gurmad forces, even though most subclans were part of our southern empire, the Futuh is your first point of reference that states your existence in Somali history, we are already mentioned before that by Arab geographers as inhabiting a large territory in Somalia and in chronicles by King Amde Seon fighting the Emperor's forces alongside Ciise and Xarla in the early 14th century! We are still on the frontiers fighting the Oromo and Anfar after 800 years!

Absame are a great clan with many heroes, Garaad Wiilwaal's descendant and current Garaad is a great friend of the Sixawle Ugaas who visits Jigjiga, not to forget also Garaad Makhtal, Sayidka etc don't be like the Marehan nigga wu wuzz Adal, even the editors on HoygaSuugaanta an Isaaq website know who Ahmed Gurey was, why didn't they state he was Dir? You Dir and Darods can't agree on the subclan let alone provide an abtirsi.

We wuz adal kulaha  There is harari records of Nur bin Mujahid's abtirsi, and Marexan having the most soldiers with hirabu being emir of all somalis. I don't even have to argue, as there have been countless sources posted before, but I would believe that Ahmed gurey was any northen clan apart from karanle  only langaabs steal history. Marexan had a boqortoyo spanning across puntland to wardher for over 600 and ruled up to harar and still live there. Mean while karanle still begging. You should just be ignored

Where are the Harari records on Amiir Nuur? Atleast provide a source or a quote on this. Hiraabu and the MX contribution is no doubt very significant though, but in expected Darod fashion it is never enough you want all the glory  Your beliefs are weird since the MX and Karanle in Ethiopia are on very good terms, dhiigu biyo maaha you should also see this as a great thing mise Somali inuusan noqon ba ayaad ka jeceshahay intuu Hawiye noqon lahaay  :?:

No history is stolen here, everyone and their mom's dog can see what i've said has been backed up. Even 19th century Gaal Italy have seen Karanle live-o fighting the Ethiopians.

Kibirjabshe Karanle :umad:

The Karanle have been ethnically cleansed from Babile by the Oromo.

The Karanle decided to join their region to Oromo some years earlier so they wouldn't be under Ogaden governor.

A few years later the Oromo extremists attacked slaughtering hundreds and driving the rest into refugee camps in the Ogaden.

This is a perfect illustration why Somalis, despite being one of the only ethnicities in Africa to have their own country, will never amount to nothing.

The Oromo horde attacks have been counter attacked even the Federal Ethiopian Army had to step in, the Oromo know us very well, we practise aano qabiil, avenging our dead from the Karrayu and Ittu clans man for man. You can google search the conflict it was in 2018.

Babile is split between Oromia and Faafan K5. It was a disputed area like some parts of Sitti K5 and the Anfar region. This is good for trade and survival, you as a Dhulbahante should be the last person to have an issue with that. Your Ogaden cousins were suffering themselves under Iley what fate lies ahead for Hawiye who killed his father in Hiiraan :|

Our mindsets are totally different.......I see myself as Somali first and foremost.

The Somalis in Ethiopia need to unite around a single political vision.

This should be evident to anybody with a modicum of common sense.

That is true and a fair point. It will take a long time to reverse the damages of TPLF, Derg and the former emperors.

All of the major ethnic groups in Ethiopia are uniting for their own interests......Somalis have to do the same.
