Jimbie,

Deni will put money in the hands of the locals at the state and regional levels. Even now while he’s away, Puntland is functioning and people are doing their jobs. He is also the first PL leader to successfully conduct local elections. Farmajo spent all his administration efforts bribing Lafta gareen and qoorqoor and other corrupt individuals and he got nothing out of it, especially in galmudug.

What did reer gedo or other marexaan as a whole benefit from 5 years of farmajo? Nothing. With Deni, Garbaharay, cabuudwaaq and all other Somali cities will have their own local elected councillors making decisions about their cities. Farmajo on the other hands wants to concentrate power in Mogadishu.

If Deni did this I would be so happy

it is a good question qaasim asked. but unfortunately for deni ,no one trusts deni. guess 3 years of breaking your word and not honouring agreements have come to bite deni in the back.

and saaxo was build by reer saaxo not a single cent did MJ or puntland put into saaxo. Reer saaxo are also fighting galmudug sponsored militias but puntland is not providing any backup to saaxo.

so if puntland neither financially nor military aids saaxo, what exactly has puntland done for saaxo?

Nomad, farmajo is old dog he doesnt have new tricks. if he comes back the current policy of zero development for waqoyiga galgaduud will continue. Deni is at-least not tested yet

I think he’s the only candidate who has incentive to do it. Maybe HSM as he also now understands the important of federalism. Even mogadisho would benefit from devolution of power to cities. I would also advice Deni to select someone who is dhexdhaxaad to lead JL. Madobe has been there too long and constant struggle doesn’t benefit kismayo and JL.

Jimbie,

There is a game being played here. Mx mps from galgaduud are stamped with farmaajo. Qaasim is saying no I am willing to negotiate. He is effectively saying my vote can be bought like the majority of the mps don't just assume I will vote for farmaajo.

People like khadija diriye is doing the same. This election is very lucrative time for mps and no one wants to miss it by being stamped with a particular candidate.

So just enjoy the show sxb and don't believe what comes out of mps mouths for the next 2 weeks just assume they are in the process of selling their votes or pretending to sell their vote.

Kassim Elmiseed lead the Parliament election committee that destroyed the plans to have Ceel-Waaq MPs participate in Speaker elections.

If Kassim is voting anything other than Farmaajo, 100% he wouldn't have led this Coup against Dhabanacad/Abdirisaaq/Deni.
