Time to free bosaso from qardho/garowe occupation

Postby mahoka » Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:42 am

The problems in puntland region are so big now now even they can hide it.

You have the biggest economic, population and cultural centre of puntland bosaso held hostage by literally 2 tiny villages of garowe and qardho - its got so bad that the puntland (qardho-garowe) is trying to create an alternative to bosaso port in the form of gardacad jetty - it hasn’t been successful yet

Bosaso port was suppose to get an upgrade by P&O ports few years ago but foreign workers and P&O top man in puntland were assassinated - at the time puntland media started blaming locals in bosaso but later on with the push for gardacad it became obvious it was a garowe assassination- this essentially killed off any hopes for bosaso modernisation and expansion.

Now bosaso/bari residents who are facing drought and famine were denied food aid from Mogadishu while few days earlier garowe received aid directly from Mogadishu (mj tribal elders are confirming this)

At some point the leadership in Mogadishu will need to act and have to remove garowe/qardho tyranny over bosaso town and it’s people.

The question is how much more humiliation and provocations can bosaso people take before they snap

Ceerigabo is a habar yonis city, habar yonis is still supporting Somaliland, same for gadabuursi borama and dhulbahante lascanood. The day these communities stop supporting SL I will agree with you but now they are somalilanders

The same can’t be said about bosaso which has rejected your garowe/qardho village rule- psf the sons of bosaso are now calling the shots in bosaso, bosaso/bari elders have sided with sided with psf

Why should a big town like bosaso be ruled by subclans from tiny garowe/qardho- the taxes of reer bosaso are building these villages not bosaso

Also why are you guys trying to destroy bosaso port?

Garowe is destroying bosaso port via the supposed gardacad jetty, luckily for reer bosaso the project has been an utter failure so their market won’t be taken by that place
