Mohamed Farah is a hero for his country Somaliland and is telling the world the truth about his life after bearing dark secrets for so long. Not only was he human trafficked, he is letting the world know his father was killed during the state sanctioned Isaaq genocide which in turn strengthens the moral case for Somaliland to be officially recognised as independent

Ictiraaf
he called SL, North Somalia
He exaggerated a lot and tarnished the reputation of the family that brought him to Britain and told many lies such as describing it as a kind of slavery.
it's the Somali way every boy or girl who lived with their qaraabo have been treated the same way.
waxaa ka daran asaga ayaa is dilay, under threat, no more advertisements..

I guess, Mr. Waraabe's comments above, should more than suffice to put to rest any notion, some of us wanlawens may have intertained, the often-repeated qaldaan phrase, "ictiraaf waan u koreynaa geed dheer iyo mid gaabanba", was mere figure of speech..

Who knows how his father died, We don't the full story, so this could easly be exaggerated for Ictiraf campaign reasons as he is pro Somaliland himself, fair enough

Couple said to have trafficked Mo Farah could face investigation by Met Police
The couple accused of trafficking Sir Mo Farah into the UK are facing a potential police investigation after Scotland Yard confirmed it was “assessing” the allegations made by the four-time Olympic champion.
The athlete has revealed that his real name is Hussein Abdi Kahin and that he was given the false name Mohammed Farah by the people whom he claims forced him into domestic servitude.
Now the Metropolitan Police has confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that “specialist officers are currently assessing the available information” as they decide whether to launch an investigation.
In the BBC documentary, The Real Mo Farah, to be broadcast tonight, Somali-born Sir Mo describes how he was brought to Britain aged nine and claims he was forced to cook, clean and look after younger children by a couple who told him he would never see his real family again if he told anyone the truth.
His former PE teacher confirms in the documentary that he was aware of his real identity but agreed to keep it secret after helping his former pupil to find a new home away from the alleged traffickers. Sir Mo, 39, says his real father, Abdi, was killed in the Somali civil war and he was sent by his mother to live with an uncle in neighbouring Djibouti, and was then brought to the UK by a woman.
The couple who initially raised Sir Mo when he came to the UK have previously been named as Mukhtar Farah, 60, and his wife Nimco Farah.
Yesterday, Mukhtar Farah, who is currently in Somalia, told The Telegraph: “I am not ready for an interview. Maybe next time. I am not feeling well.”
Nimco, who is understood to be separated from Mukhtar, lives in Southall, west London, where a man describing himself as a relative said she was abroad and “when she comes back, we will decide whether to speak out. He said it was not true that Sir Mo was trafficked, adding that “in Somaliland there’s nothing called trafficking or child abuse or stuff like that”.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “We are aware of reports in the media concerning Sir Mo Farah. Specialist officers are currently assessing the available information.
“We believe there are victims of modern slavery, including children in every borough across London and the public may encounter them every day, possibly without realising.
“As well as being sexually exploited, victims have been found working in construction, domestic servitude, agriculture, cannabis factories and in places you use yourself, such as car washes, barbers and nail bars.”
After confiding in his teacher, Sir Mo was sent to live with Kinsi Farah, the sister of Mukhtar Farah, who Sir Mo says “took me under her wing and welcomed me to her house”.
The real Mohammed Farah, whose identity Sir Mo was given, is one of Mukhtar’s sons by another woman. Sir Mo is now in contact with the real Mohammed Farah, who friends say lives in Turkey.
Describing how Sir Mo came to be in the UK, Kinsi Farah says in the documentary: “My brother, he went into the airport, he says he’s going to collect his children and his wife and you [Sir Mo] come back with my brother. And we were shocked and I said, ‘Who’s this boy?’ because I know my brother’s son and how he looks.
And the lady said, ‘This boy, his family, they all died’, and everyone felt sorry for you and we give you love and accept you how you are.”
Sir Mo is in regular contact with his real mother, Aisha, and his four brothers in Somaliland, a semi-autonomous region of Somalia. The Home Office has said he is in no danger of being deported because children cannot be deemed complicit in such deceptions.
