Galmudug state is settled by independent clans including Murursade, MX, Dir and many others. This is what bothers Kees, he dreams of a political boqortooyo where the President determines everyones fate like SL, PL etc. He wants to emulate Deni getting all 60 votes from his state, we don't do that xoog feudal shit around here, beelo iskood u taagan aa nahay hubkii iyo saanadii inoo dhan yahay sidaasaa weligood loo deganaa and that's why he got 15 votes from his clan only.
I think even saying "he wants" is sort of irrelevant to be honest. I just came back from Caabudwaaq. I saw what was the end result of the last 10 years clashes in "Dacdheer", "Furinta Foore","Gaxandhaale", etc. Kees is facing catastrophy worse than any other part of Somalia. He virtually has no water and the last 10 years of fighting with Marehan has deprived him of the little access to grazing the 1991 wars allowed him. It is not only north of Caabudwaaq, but even in the south, rer Guriel have also been faced with the same. In fact, I found out something I did not even understand before. The more recurrent and frequent a set of clashes are in which Rer Cabudwaq are involved, the more likely it is a campaign being undertaken by Rer Cabudwaq. It is not just the easterm border with Kees, but also the western border with Rer Dhagaxbuur has been recurrent and just as frequent. I found out Rer Caabudwaaq felt ascendent and fully recovered from trial yearsof 1991-2010. They were the ones undertaking "Qaan" campaigns of repayment. They were initiating "retaking" and expressing power. Kees has no water and no grazing and he is hemorrhaging population. Most people do not even understand this but the reason places like Caabudwaaq, Balanbale, Dhabat, and even hamlets started recently like Saaxo and Bangelle are growing fast is because their resources can support it. Kees is migrating enmasse to Mogadishu because the resources in his land cannot support him. As God is my witness, a Caabudwaaq elder told me last November "Ceelbuur or Hiiraan, you are going to hear big clashes around one of them soon because they need to quickly replace what they have lost access to last in Balanbale."
Ceel-Buur is a war for resources---because without it, it is soon going to be "Dabadheer" level emigration to Mogadishu soon. It is possible even there is an alliance that has been made with a possible target where survival motivations are involved with the alliance member. Sort of "better them, than I."
There is just no more livelhood for Kees in central Somalia. Even talking about fantastical wants is inconsequential.
