You know I was reading this topic again (it is fascinating subject), and, in hindsight, I thought I sounded like an asshole or really an unpleasant bastard in my exchange with Owqariib. Owqariib, you are not expected to have read or come across what everyone else has read or come across and I should not expect of anyone or be expected of by anyone of the same. I failed to appreciate your distinct individuality and just spoke condescendingly as if you are the person who owns the effect of my impatience or whatever else I have felt towards anyone I wished to criticise on this subject. Xaal qaado walaal. Sincerely. My tone was not personal towards you and my statement regarding my thoughts on Karanle equity in this subject (which I have correctly recognized) truthfully did not take the right tone or expression.

I will encourage you to read on what I called "multi text manuscripts" though for you to understand a little bit the basis of my response concerning the local sourced texts in Ethiopia.

A good starting point I can recommend is ;

"Some Observations on Composite and Multiple-Text Manuscripts in the Islamic
Tradition of the Horn of Africa
Gori, Alessandro
"

If you can't find it, let me know and I can share that article.
