God knows this guy needs it with the horrible events recently and the impact on his family.

Yesterday's failed personal attack on Ali Yare may not necessarily be Al Shabaab according to chatter.

Ali Yare is a genuine and true human being. His "human" response in the recent tragedy and the widespread public admiration and attention that has fallen on him has intensely irritated some intensely resentful powerful actors.

The irony in this is Ali Yare's humanity was what the public failed to see in their highest leadership. The President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker, the Governor of Benadir. Total absence of the humanity so wanted and desired by the traumatized Somali nation.

But Cali Yare, wallahi this guy is a very, very special guy for so many young Somalis who see in him the embodiment of...a human in the tragedy of being a Somali.

How can you accuse me of tribalism tho? Isn't Ali Yare Hiiraab as me? The man is a populist like Farmaajo who Isn't shy about using his personal tragedy to score political points.
