Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
We need our good friend Sahal to come back to enlighten us on Hiirshabeele issues. He is being karbaashed by abgal teenagers on somalispot.
My take is if there was going to be change in hiirshabeele, it would have happened already. HSM has double crossed reer hiiraan after they did the heavy lifting fighting shabab terrorists. The harti abgaal will not listen to the langaab HSM from galgudud.

When I saw this post I was 100% sure it was Sahal, coming back here with some flex. He basically trademarked the phrase‘Gentlemen’s agreement’

Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
I recently came across some of his earlier engagements with me while searching something and I was struck by how remarkably nice and even polite he used to be. I then looked back at more discussions and realized that was the norm. Sahal is a decent and even considerate guy by nature. I think it is an indictment of the nastiness and brutishness of Somali politics that affects us all in negative ways.

Culusow fears abgaal more then xawaadle.
Xawaadle can't benefit him nore harm him.

Yup. That’s why he needs the distractions in other regions, once he starts looking at internal hawiye issues, he’ll be opening himself to a lot of problems.Nomand wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:01 pm Culusow fears abgaal more then xawaadle.

Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
I don't really care who leads Hirshabelle, it doesn't affect or concern me but what is interesting is why he has such strong views and emotional investment in Marehan affairs and especially Gedo Region. His care is so great he imposed even his own interpretation of who I am. He is on the other forum reimagining me as a "Reer Siyaadist" whose views and principles aren't well and long established. Where does Sahal get the hubris to peg my position on Gedo vs Madoobe Vichy Con or Marehan vs Unukaa-ism to who or what "Rer Siyaad" has what regional position as he contrives? Wasn't Maxamed Muxumud Gov of Gedo? Didn't he switch to Madoobe? Where did Sahal find me even with mildly impacted bias ever presenting a shade of a change to my long and continuing Marehan position against Madoobe? No where because it is not really about me or even Marehan---it is how he strongly wants to reflect Marehan.Nomand wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:01 pm Culusow fears abgaal more then xawaadle.

Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
I respect Sahal's views.
However, the Gentleman's Agreement, was unsustainable. For it to work it would mean marginalising every non Hawadle tribe in Hiiraan.
Abgaal can get away with that in Shabelle Dhexde where they are preeminent........but Hiiraan?
There are 15 recognised clans in Hiiraan.

When do you think the Hutu honeymoon will end? Because that’s when the real show starts.MrSinister wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:10 pmYup. Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
It’s not rocket science because farmaajo (A MX) gave abgaal the seat that belong to xawadle and that’s were the cuqdad came from.Gubbet wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:28 pmI don't really care who leads Hirshabelle, it doesn't affect or concern me but what is interesting is why he has such strong views and emotional investment in Marehan affairs and especially Gedo Region. I know why you liked him. He was a huge supporter of confederation and liked the same ideas as maxmud Saleeban.MrSinister wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 2:49 pmMurax wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 2:37 pm When I saw this post I was 100% sure it was Sahal, coming back here with some flex. Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
The Gentleman's agreement was between Hiiraan and Sh.Dhexe to split the capital and governor. It's not an agreement between Abgaal and Xawaadle. If there was a vote all the Hirshabelle clans except XL would vote against XL leadership. You don't know XL well Sinister, they are hillbillies, not a reer magaal people. They have some good technocrats but waa iska mooryaan.
