Saaxib, that is incorrect. There was no contention for the Ugaas-ship.

The power-play concerned Khaliif and Shermaake. On the day of the inaugration, Siyaad and Warsame untethered Khaliif-Qoracne's horse and so he could not make it. Shermaake was the oldest then at the place so he was named Ugaas. Khaliif-qoracne in his anger ran away and this is why they have dispersed in Ethiopia today.

Perhaps CoolPoison meant the buddhig story, it is a famous one, so let me try to summarize it.

Shortly before Ugaas Diini Ugaas Faarax (RH) died, he distributed his inheritance. Bah Xawaadle, who at that time were the oldest and already had wives and families, received the lion share whilst Bah Darandoole and Bah Ogaadeen, who at the time were small children, received a small portion of the inheritance.

The only person who spoke against this injustice was little Kooshin who said, ma dumar baan nahay if we receive the rest overs. But Ugaas Diini responded that he fears if he evenly distributed, the older brothers (Bah Xawaadle) would take it by force leaving not a single share to the youngsters (Bah Daraandole and their smaller brothers Bah Ogaadeen).

Bah Darandoole (Nuur, Kooshin, Warfaa, Shirwac, Maxamuud) and Bah Ogaadeen (Dalal, Xirsi, Maxamuud Guuleed) formed an alliance and they called themselves Baha Diini to counteract their older brothers Bah Xawaadle.

Ugaas Diini loved Nuur, as he was the wadaad and asked him personally to lay him in to grave (buddhig). Back then, the person who lays the deceased Ugaas in to the grave automatically assumes the role of Ugaas.

When the Ugaas died and funeral prayers were read, curadka Diini (Sharmaake-excluding Khaliif) was absent and Nuur was about to lay him in to the grave but Siyaad intervened and jumped in to the grave saying that without Sharmaake, he cannot be buried. Kooshin jumped up and said that Ugaas Diini specifically requested that Nuur becomes the buddhige. Reer Diini was split in to two, those who supported Siyaad and those who supported Kooshin. A while later, Sharmaake came and Nuur side-stepped and let Sharmaake do the buddhig in order to quel the dis-agreement and the rest of the story's a bit vague from there as I have heard it long time ago.

But what I can remember is Nuur was the one who held ilma Ugaas Diini together until his death. An example, a short period after the Ugaas was buried, Kooshin yare, who was still dissatisfied with the distribution of the inheritance raided all the stock of Bah Xawaadle including the portion that the rest were entitled to and fled. Bah Xawaadle were about to go after him until Nuur intervened and mediated between them.

nin Reer Kooshin baan ahay, reer abtigay are Habar Yoonis Garxajis and I have more love for them then for any clan including Mareexaan so there is no reason for me to claim anyone because of anonymity.

Murax, you have to admit that guy can fit perfectly with the Warsame character here.

The guy on facebook is especially connected to two Marehan sub-clans (reer Nuur and reer Kooshin), lives in the U.K, goes to a university in the U.K (or graduated from) with degrees in international relations/politics, is very interested in Marehan politics, is between 23-25, seems like laid-back urbane character, and even resembles somewhat Barre Hiiraale.

Everything Warsame represents to us. I have long come to a conclusion the Habar Yoonis reer abti is to throw us off and if I am right, Warsame has long known that was me on facebook.
