listen bro....there is nearly 50,000 people from cabudwaq in the U.S and equal if not more amount of people in other parts of the world but i don't see much progress there in terms of development. what is going on saaxib? are the people of cabudwaq not interested in developing their city and investing there so it can compete with its neighborings and create and thriving local economy for its citizens. since i am from gedo, beled xawo to be more specific, i do not know much about cabudwaq since i was hoping you could educate me more about the city and what is happening there since you probably have relatives there.

Qansa, Cabudwaaq and SADE Bari degaans lack administration and they must learn from reer-gedo and their maamul creation, but in all honesty bro, Cabudwaaq is more developed then Gedo cities, and even dhabat and ballanbale are quite developed!

There would've been much more investment in those degaans, lakiin a good amount of reer-SADE Bari live in Kismayo they are the largest populations there, the ones in qurbaha invested mostly in Kismayo and Gedo (Beledxawo mainly)!

^ dumb bijj azz ilkayar, u tryna tell me that out of 150,000 Somalis in the States, 1 out of every 3 is not only from Galgudud, but from Caabudwaaq itself?

I don't know what's more ridiculous, that or u saying 1 outta every 3 Somalis in the entire United States is not only Mareexaan, but just a subclan and a sub-sub-subclan of Mareexaan

To be honest CW sharaf iyo karaama ma ka maqan, this supposedly little town was growing like no other the years before the civil war. To this day they live on the wealth they enhanced previously hence the reason we are midely developed compared to some places in gedo, we not only did have wealth but also most of the military power in the region and neighbouring regions. IF it wasn't for CW, PL wouldn't have excisted this day hence Battle in Galkacyo

When a country has peace bussiness minded people will thrive in it, CW was the gateway business between Xamar and Hargeysa in other words between north and south aswell as ethiopia and central somalia. Even today the people of CW go to kismaayo and own alot of business their. Qansa what gedo people need to do is invite reero CW to Bardhere, Garbehare etc.

Now, due to the qabyaalad and curruption in somalia the location of CW and neighbouring mareexan citys has been severely damaged, i think you know of this already Dusamareeb etc.
In CW case it has been damaged bussiness wise, this is because the bussiness in CW depended on a sea port which was Muqadisho now that place is lost to either crazy moriyans or ethiopians. all their cattle, camels etc which they are rich in go to (at that time) small village of bosaso, recently i have been told the big guys switched to hargaisa due to the unsafe passage to bosaso and lack of real admin in the state of punt.

to simplify things we dont have a port and since our enemys are in hold of the ports they will pick the price  not good for business

So dont lose kismaayo to a foreigner :)

The reason I am asking about development in Cabudwaq not being where it should is not because cities in Gedo and other parts of somalia where beesha settles are more developed than Cabudwaq. I am asking because about I know for certain about 95% of all marexaans abroad from are originally from Galgaduud although most of them fled Mogdishu during the civil wars. There are barely any reer Gedood marexaans in the west and the ones that are here have arrived within the last few years and are still adjusting to life in the west. I know cabudwaaq is more developed than most cities in Somalia and that its citizens are doing pretty well for themselves but it is just not where it could be if its diaspora community invested in it as much as others invest in their cities. Cabudwaq perhaps has the largest diaspora community of any somali city and yet when that last war took place there, the wounded had to be taken to other cities to get treated because non of the hospitals in the city were unable to do anything for the wounded because they do not have the necessary equipment.

The sea port problem has definately contributed to the problem and that why I am staunch supporter of Kismaayo being in MR hands. Without a sea port, others determine your faith when it comes to the local economy. It is understanble that cabudwaq suffered a lot because of this but what should be done is, make an alliance with the habargedir and help them build Hobyo port so that the city business does not rely on Bossasso or Berbera.

I have many relatives that live there and walahi some call like twice a month...and some have good lives...so it depends I guess....and I have heard too many times that Cabadwaaq waa abaar!!...Laakiin I am planning to go there Inshallah after I am done with school next summer or autumn...I'll let u know.

Have a safe trip sis. I am sure Cabudwaq is doing well but at the same time, I know it can be better if all its citizens abroad invested in it more. Insha allah I will visit Cabudwaq myself one of these days. I have never been to central Somalia so I should be interesting to find out why reer mudug are slightly crazy people.

In order for areas to cities to reach their potentional, they need the basic necessities. The regions in SADE Bari still have no solid administrations and order and without it, no amount of diaspora money is going to make any difference. Once the fundamental pre-conditions have been established such as accountability, and order, things will automatically smooth out.

I believe Mareexaan Bari should hold a grand-conference like the Mareexaan in the South did and establish cooperation. But personally, I think Mareexaan Bari will get their act together once Jubbaland has been established. All they need is an example.

Qansa and Warsame you both completely right

There is much need for administration in Cabudwaq and many other areas in Galgaduud and Mudug populated by mareexans

qansa hawiye ports if you can actually call them ports are undeveloped and why on earth would a mareexan person risk his money life in hawiye lands these people are humans under your power but when they have power they are animals

People in the west from CW usually build a lot of houses their and support their relatives, actually they are becoming more and more self sufficient back home in CW believe it or not THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE RED-CROSS OR OTHER GAALO CHARITIES IN CW.
In order for big/small business owned by mareexan from galgadud/mudug to invest in CW, they must have functioning admins as neighbors and there most be peace which is very unlikely.

What we need is a safe passage between CW and Gedo and in the future CW to Kismaayo.

At the moment most mareexans from galgadud/mudug are in Kismaayo or abroad making money and sending it back home to Galgaduud/mudug

the second we establish peace in somalia if it ever happens these people will go back to Xamar where they owned the business in that place. To achieve peace in greater somalia is nothing but a dream, we therefore must reevaluate and think of alternative way of connecting central somalia mareexan to a port

But the ADmin im 100% behind
