Gedo university

Postby zingii » Fri Apr 17, 2009 11:46 pm

http://gedoweb.com/index/modules.php?na ... e&sid=1774

I googled few times trying to find an image of Gedo University, laakiinse waxaan ku guuleysan waayay in aan helo sawir i tusay dhismaha jaamacada Gedo.

Someone needs to go there with a 10-dollar camera and take few pictures of this universtiy that i keep hearing about.
The pictures they provide on the webs only show the inside of the building and few people sitting on desks but not the outside/how the university looks from outside.

Does it if even exist?

The University was established less than a year ago. It is still in the beginning stages and for now, they are focusing on teaching those that have enrolled some real practical skills. Just give it sometime. I am sure when more buildings are constructed, the number of courses offered increased and more money put into the creation of a more sophisticated curriculum, then you will see more pictures and more results. Gedo at the moment is a bit unstable because of all the Shabaab crap movement there but in time we should be able to see some real progress in development in all areas.

Their diploma looks pretty professional.

I really do hope they open a campus in Beled Xawo(Northern Gedo main campus) and Bardhere(Southern Gedo main campus). As for the moment, they should focus on making the one in Bardhere work before dividing the resources. There is no point in opening in new campuses all over the place when the first one is still in the process of getting fully established.

Is Dr Warsame Ali involved in Gedo University initiative if not I should urge you guys to get him onboard, he is the only real academic I met from that part of the Somali family (possibly many more exists but I'm talking from my experience).

I am sure he would be an invaluable asset to the progess of this new College, they guy has very good engineering background.
