The two Xaawos are different, Xaawo ugaas moved to beledxaawo recently, but the other xaawo is old lady, she is one of the first settlers of Beledxaawo, I heard during the British colony of Jubbaland in early 1900 she owned a wooden hut coffee shop in the area of present Beledxaawo, so when Nomads in Gedo are heading to Wajir or Isiolo in present Kenya they used to gather at her place, that is why it become famous place at the time, meet me at xaawo’s cabin (Buulkii xaawo), then the entire area got the name of Buuloxaawo, after while when it thrived late seventies and become full township it was upgraded to Beledxaawo.

I think Mareexaan are the only modern people in Somalia that has honored female names after their towns like Janesville, Caroline, Winona, Helena, Maryland, etc.. I also heard in the middle east there are towns have female names.
