The entire Somali population world wide waa 20-22 million.
Darood-6-7 Millon
Hawiye-4-5 Millon
Issaq-3.5 million
Dir-1-2 Millon
D&M-2-3 millon
Bantu and other minorities-2 millon
I fail to believe any of those numbers, us somalis tend to exaggate our numbers when we haven't even had a census. Anyway besides certain areas in the south most of somali lands are empty with a few nomads here and there even the big cities where the majority of somalis are are low in population. Until we have a census we can never know but there is only one city in somalia with is in the millions(around 1.5-2 million) and that is mogadishu whereas the rest of them are all under 200k besides Hargeisa and maybe Kismayo, so where could all these millions of people come from?

Well I reckon somalia is about 10 million max and when you including djibouti, ogadenia and nfd it is probably around 15 million, so for all somali lands this is probably how it is:
1.Hawiye - 25%
2.Darood - 23%
3.Isaaq - 20%
4.D&M - 19%
5.Dir - 8%
6.Madhibaan, Bantu & cad cad - 5%
I only gave percentages and I made hawiye number 1 because although they have been in war for nearly 2 decades but there is no denying that they are large in numbers(even if they included minority clans into hawiye), therefore I would say that darood is 2nd with Isaaq 3rd - I know you guys put them as a low number but bear in mind that besides mogadishu the second most populated are in somalia is Hargeisa and the towns to the west all the way to borama, they also live in ogadenia and djibouti heavily. D&M are also large in numbers but they are also in war so their numbers are probably declining, as for the rest I would say it is quite fair.

When there is a census come with your results until then we only know that Mogadishu is over a million people and we even don't know what population Hargeisa is.

Trust me Malinguur are reer Cabdille, Malinguur is the twin brother or Warfa.
Ask any Malinguur if he is not reer Cabdile or not. if you remove Malinguur from Reer Cabdile then Cawliyahan would be more than MZ.
