To answer your question about his age, he is much younger than Barre.

Thats whats wrong with Somalia today. Career diplomats and politicians have been overtaken by military men.Abdi Shire waan aqaana, yacni maqal ahaan laakinse Bare Hirale's more famous than him.

sadeboi,
Its not a cay but the truth. Xoogsade waa daacad

Agree. But the question is when we will change the status quo?lol@ SB
Not really ina adeer. Barre is a military tactician of the highest order but military heros rarely make for great politicians specially in Somalia. Men like Barre, Abditisaaq Isaaq Biixi, Cumar Xaaji etc were forced to become politicians in addition to exceptional military commanders because as a qabiil, our seasoned and highly experienced political leaders have stayed out of Somali affairs after '91.

When our intellectuals stop worrying about getting their hands dirty, somalinimo and start looking out for the interests of beesha. Change must come from within, not cities thousands of miles away.the question is when we will change the status quo?

Cumar Xaaji before his imprisoment in the 80's held the position of a Defence Minister. By that token, he was already a politican before the civil war.lol@ SB
