Nah its just that we need the Azania ship to sail

On a serious note there is time for everything.

And was adding my 2 cents cos I have seen several projects proposed by memebers in this section. thus I was comming up with ideas of projects that had less capital intensive and better returns.

Anyway you need to go back to APG and do your homework

There is no market for fish though. Beekeeping is not a bad idea although it requires a lot of skills to avoid being stung to death.

No market for fish? come one there is large Market from NFD to Areas like Nairobi to even selling it abroad like UK. I mean if Bengalis can sell their prawns from their dirty ponds in their back yard why not be abit creative and use the river Jubba to harness the project?

As for bee keeping if folks can avoid harvesting honey from wild trees without being stinged then I guess they can learn a few ways of domesticating bees.

For your info no one is born with the prowess its all acquired. You can learn a lot from the East African neighbours.

I mean visiting areas in Kenya where they do bee keeping and getting some trainning and introducing it to the region. since there is less pollution I guess the returns would be better.

this is not rocket science.

I meant there is no domestic market for fish in somalia, especially in Gedo, since no one fish there. Laakin I see where you are coming from. It is not a bad idea at all. The beekeeping thing is just more appealing as it would probably be easier to get started since there is definite market for honey all over Somalia.

Yeah bee keeping would be very ideal especially around Bardheere, I have heard of Kenyan teachers going as far as Xamar or Hargeisa to teach I guess they can employ a few kenyati to start the projects.

As for fish farming at first it might look capital intensive but trust me the market is very large it all depends on how you want to market it.

Is it small scale or Large scale?
Is his market just around Benadir?
does he do branding of his products?

The honey is exported to all of Somalia as far as Somaliland but it is on a national scale. The limes are exported to Dubai and from there to Italy and other European markets. It's used to make perfumes.
