For a long time. My family is somewhat recent though. My mothers great grandfather, his name was Abdi Ducaale, was the first to come to Gedo in his father. He came alone. He was hosted by a distant relative by the name of Mu'min Hussein. On my father my grandfather was the first to come to Gedo. He was a soldier and retired in Bardheere.

I know, but the Baardheere Jihad had pretty much every clan in south Somalia fighting in it, even the newly arrived Ogadeen took part. Mareehaan weren't there yet when that took place.
