Govt & Amisom to Ras Kambooni, troops here to stay!

Postby SultanOrder » Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:40 pm

Since the arrival of the 500 strong government troops from Ceelwaaq, there has been a great agitation within the rank and file lines of Ras Kambooni. The most public and outspoken being MP Xidig (not publicly aligned, but a great supporter) calling them Al-Shabab in government clothing. Reports have also been circulating of Ras Kambooni's attempt to attack the forces before entering Kismaayo, but Kenyan Amisom preventing them from doing so. As Amisom was deliberating on the latest sequence of events and what do next, verified that every one of the troops were trained in Kenya and still had their Government issued i.d.'s. Having no other reason but Ras Kambooni's agitation, they concluded that they were free to be integrated into the Kismaayo security apparatus.

The government in a series of reform of the Military system, most dramatically highlighted in a new Commander of all military forces, and a new commandant. The first trip made by the new commander was to Kismaayo, along side him was the commander of Amisom troops. They had meetings with the Kenyan Amisom commanders, who fall under the Amisom commanders, and their first urgent insistence was that the newest troops where Government troops, and that more would follow. With the new General in command, was the new commander of all government troops in Lower Jubba, Col Cabdi Cigaal. The col will be replacing General Saxardiid, sources close to the government claim that there is extreme unhappiness with the general due to his handling of the recent Kismaayo clashes. Government troops were very pleased with the new change.

In other news, the Transitional Administration of Kismaayo has come under pressure due to internal bickering. Reports are saying that there was major disagreement due to the new forces. Head of the Ras Kambooni faction, Ahmed Madoobe, adamant on his opposition to the troops, caused a major divide between him and Col Raadeer. Kenya in an attempt to salvage the situation has invited to Nairobi Sh Axmed Madoobe , Yasiin Nuur Gaas, Gen Saxardiid, Gen Cali Madoobe, Col Cabaas Ibrahim Gureey, Cabdinasir Seerar, Col Warfaa Sh Adan , Col Yusuf Wacays Yusuf Koronto, and others.

More divisions are expected to arrive to join forces with them. The government has to started to own the security situation in Kismaayo...the new Commander Afqarshe, Abaanduule Cabdirisaaq, and head of AMISOM with the new Commander in Jubooyinka Col Cigaal visited the base set up by Col Saalax Diini government soldiers and gave them political legitimacy.

Also I want to tell you Ras Kamboni never tried to attack them...can they even???

to be honest this isn't good news for Ras Kambooni, despite them helping the recapture of Kismaayo from Alshabab, it now looks like they are going to be sidelined once again. the irony is, this is the exact same thing that happened when Ras Kambooni militia helped Alshabab take over Kismaayo from transitional government forces lead by Col. Raadeer, soon after that take over Alshabab sidelined the Ras Kambooni.
