Why is Aw-Hirsi back with th PM in Garbahaarey?

Postby The`Republic » Sun Mar 31, 2013 7:21 pm

Adan Aw-Xirsi "Cirro" was the former governor of Gedo where he helped prepare the internal reconciliation and free elections that elected Fareey and made Kalil deputy in 2007. Right afterwards Aw-Xirsi retuned to USA where he went back to being an instructor of a college in Columbus, Ohio. Soon after Al Shabaab took over the land and hings are where he left it.

He was the first and last consequential governor of Gedo since 1991. He is credited with ending the inter-Sade civil war that raged since Al-Itihad days, united the region district by district, brought back in UN agencies and USAID and he was the force behind the 2007 governor and district elections in Gedo that would have been looked back at something truly the beginning of a new age if Al Shabaaab didn't rise.

Today he got off of the plane that brought the PM and his delegation to Gedo. Will he be named the interim governor of Gedo for the 6 month transition?

I like Aw Xirsi. He makes things happen. I would like to see him become the mayor of Beled Xaawo or Garbaharay. Can you believe I used to support Fareey over him.
